Secondary Education

Secondary education in the UK is compulsory for all children between the ages of 11 and 16. It is divided into two stages: Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4. Key Stage 3 covers the first three years of secondary education, while Key Stage covers the final two years. During this time, students study a range of subjects, including English, maths, science, history, geography, and modern foreign languages. At the end Key Stage 4, students take GCSE exams in a variety of subjects, which are used to determine their future educational and career paths.
